What exactly is fostering?
Here are the details…
A foster is someone who provides a temporary home for our rescued cats and kittens while waiting for their permanent home. Foster families provide shelter, food, care and love. The number of animals we can save depends entirely on the number of people who open their homes and hearts to foster them. The more fosters we have, the more lives we can save.
Being a foster has rewards beyond the value of just helping a pet in need. It is a chance to have a cat or kitten companion without a lifetime commitment or to try out a new friend for an existing pet. It is the challenge of helping a cat or kitten recover from an illness or injury, the trauma of losing a beloved owner or home, overcome a behavioral issue or to just survive, because it’s mother has passed on. Sometimes, it is just to experience the joy of giving extra love and attention to kittens too young to be adopted.
Whatever the reason, fostering enriches your lives, the lives of your family and the lives of each cat or kitten. Please consider fostering not only for us, but for all the cats and kittens out there who need you.
